UP2SMART developed a platform for early detection and diagnosis of DR by combining artificial intelligence (AI) models. The platform includes two AI-based systems: MIRA and RETIPROGRAM.

Mira is a fully automated fundus imaging reading system, while RETIPROGRAM is a diagnostic assistance tool that uses artificial intelligence techniques to model population electronic health record (EHR) data to predict the risk of developing DR.
